Know Your Neighbors

In our fast-paced, stress-filled world we often don't create the opportunities that we need in order to get to know our neighbors. In days past, good neighbor relations were the staples of every community. Being able to share both good and bad, with those who live so close to us was once considered on of life's greatest blessings.

If you have something to share please feel free to post it here!

 Countryside Marketplace

I attended The Menifee Municipal Advisory meeting Wed June 20th To find out what is going on with the Countryside Marketplace.
Jeff Chambers, who is with Donahue Schriber, the developer that's building the Countryside Marketplace gave a presentation.
He talked about the Pardee Homes briefly and said there would be a new school and parks. Mr. Chambers went on to talk about the Aquatic center which will have 2 pools, a competition pool that the collage will be able to use and a family style pool, the civic center and posable a library.
The land for Countryside Marketplace consisting of 70 acres of land. Actual square footage of Countryside Marketplace is 735,000sq. ft..
Mr. Chambers let us know of the following business that would be going into the Countryside Marketplace,
Target (adding 55,000 sq. ft. of space)
Lowes
Kohls
Best Buy
Linens and Things
Sport Chalet
Old Navy
Tilly's
Famous Footwear
Lane Bryant
PETCO
Staples
Beverages and More
B.J.'s Restaurant & Brewery
Chipotle, Baja Fresh or La Salsa  (not yet decided)
Starbucks
Jamba Juice
Panda Express
Japanese Restaurant with Sushi (to be announced)
Corner Bakery or Panera Bread (not yet decided)
Wells Fargo Bank
Red Robin
TGI Fridays
Payless Shoes
In-N-Out Burger
Wachovia Bank
Chick-fil-A
Round Table Pizza
Washington Mutual Bank
Jewelry Store (no name given)
When asked about a Trader Joes Mr. Chambers said that the are not yet commented but are great tenants and would make room for them.
Mr. chambers also noted that some businesses will drop in the 11th hour so don't be surprised if there are some changes yet to come.
As we can see the dirt is being moved and they expect the first tenant to open its doors to the public in September of 2008 on this $140,000,000. project.
We were able to look at pictures of what the Countryside Marketplace is proposed to look like. The theme is rule and had a lot of barn looking buildings and metal siding like the new Orchard Center going up off the 215
Mr. Chambers brought copies of plans of Countryside Marketplace, but not enough copies for everyone. You can call him at (714) 966-6496 or e-mail JChambers@dsrg.com
